Simpson Hybrid S Head & Neck Restraint

The Simpson Hybrid S is an SFI and FIA 8858-2010 approved carbon fiber constructed head and neck restraint that protects during front and side impacts. The Hybrid S has the lowest profile in the industry and will move with you for quick entry and exit from the race car. The strap design offers excellent maneuverability, and the design also gives a better contact with the car and keeps the driver/co-driver more fixed to the seat.

Simpson's Hybrid S model is currently the only Frontal Head Restraint proven effective for 3-point harnesses (as well as 5-7 point harness systems). The Hybrid S allows high-performance driving instructors, auto manufacturing test engineers, and other drivers with 3-point harnesses access to the advantages of head restraint safety. The FIA Hybrid Head Restraint, in conjunction with a Snell or FIA rated helmet and a 3-point harness, reduced neck tension significantly when compared to a test with only a helmet and 3-point harness. 

The Hybrid S is supplied ready to fit to your existing FIA Hans posts or can be specified with optional M61 quick release tethers / anchors. These M61 anchors are fitted in place of your original Hans posts. Both the M61 helmet anchors and the quick release tethers / straps are included with the M61 - Quick Release Option.

• HANS - Post Anchor - These tethers allow the driver to use the Hybrid device with helmets that have standard fitment HANS anchors already fitted (or the correct approval to retro-fit anchors). Note: Post Anchor option does NOT include helmet hardware. 
• M61 - Quick Release - These tethers allow the driver to release the restraint by a simple pull on the cord attached to the helmet.  Ideal for Rallying where the helmet may be taken on and off more frequently (i.e. between stages).
